Latest EcoVadis rating strengthens sustainability management

This independent assessment confirms the ongoing development of ET GLOBAL’s sustainability management and highlights progress in the areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

ET GLOBAL on a path of sustainable development

ET GLOBAL, a specialist in premium exhibition and event construction, has once again had its sustainability performance evaluated by EcoVadis. The current assessment supports the company in making progress visible, identifying areas for improvement, and consistently advancing its company-wide sustainability management.

EcoVadis evaluates the effectiveness of a company's sustainability management based on 21 criteria across four core themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The methodology is grounded in internationally recognized standards and frameworks, including the principles of the UN Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and ISO 26000.

Guidance for Customers and Business Partners

Sustainability requirements are playing an increasingly important role in tenders, supplier evaluations, and procurement decisions. Companies must be able to demonstrate transparently how they integrate environmental, social, and ethical topics into their processes.

The EcoVadis assessment provides a structured and independent basis for this. It enables ET GLOBAL to review its own sustainability management against defined criteria and to substantiate and continuously improve it in a transparent manner toward customers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Four Focus Areas

As part of the assessment, EcoVadis examines key areas of responsible corporate governance:

  • Environment: Measures and management systems for the responsible use of resources and the mitigation of environmental impact

  • Labor and Human Rights: Structures to protect fair working conditions and fundamental rights

  • Ethics: Principles and processes for acting with integrity and responsibility

  • Sustainable Procurement: Consideration of sustainability criteria throughout the supply chain

With the current assessment, ET GLOBAL aims to make its development in these focus areas measurable and transparent.

A Complementary Element of the Sustainability Strategy

The EcoVadis assessment complements ET GLOBAL's management systems certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001and ISO 20121, without being equated with them.

While the ISO certifications independently audit defined management systems for quality, environment, and sustainable event management, EcoVadis takes a cross-topic view of the company's sustainability management. In other words: ISO certifications confirm the effectiveness and conformity of management systems according to internationally recognized standards, whereas EcoVadis evaluates a company's actual sustainability performance in areas such as environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Together, both approaches provide a holistic view of responsible and forward-looking business practices.

Both approaches contribute to ET GLOBAL's overarching strategy of firmly embedding responsible business practices, transparent processes, and continuous improvement within the company over the long term.

Sustainability as a Continuous Development Process

ET GLOBAL views sustainability not as a one-off project, but as an ongoing development process. Independent assessments such as EcoVadis help to make progress measurable, identify development potential, and target future measures effectively.

The goal is to integrate environmental, social, and ethical aspects even more consistently into business decisions and to create long-term value for customers, employees, suppliers, and partners.
