ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management

This first ISO 20121 certification complements the successful recertifications to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, as well as the existing ISO 27001 certification, and reinforces quality, environmental responsibility and sustainable event management in ET GLOBAL’s exhibition and event stand construction.

Four ISO certifications for ET GLOBAL

July 29th, 2026

ET GLOBAL has been certified for the first time under ISO 20121, the international standard for sustainable event management. At the same time, the company's existing management systems under ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) have been successfully recertified. The ISO 27001 certification for information security has been in place since 2025.

The specialist for exhibition stand and event construction now operates four coordinated management systems covering quality, environmental responsibility, information security and sustainable event management.

Integrating sustainability systematically into exhibition and event projects

ISO 20121 provides an internationally recognized framework for managing the environmental, social and economic impacts of events in a structured way. For ET GLOBAL, the new certification means that sustainability in exhibition construction is systematically integrated into all relevant corporate and project processes: from concept development and project planning through supplier selection to implementation and continuous improvement.

Clients benefit from transparent processes, clear responsibilities and an independently audited management system. This provides valuable support, particularly in tenders, procurement processes and the fulfilment of their own sustainability requirements.

Dr. Magnus Ekerot, CEO of ET GLOBAL, says:

„At ET GLOBAL, sustainability is not a standalone initiative. It is an integral part of our project planning, our supplier selection and our client consulting. With the ISO 20121 certification, this commitment is anchored in a structured and independently audited management system that our clients can rely on.“

Four management systems, one integrated framework for sustainable exhibition construction

ET GLOBAL's certification portfolio comprises:

  • ISO 20121 (certified for the first time): Sustainable management of events and exhibition projects

  • ISO 9001 (recertified): Structured quality management

  • ISO 14001 (recertified): Systematic environmental management

  • ISO 27001 (zertifiziert seit 2025): Protection of data and information

Together, these four management systems create an integrated framework for the responsible, secure and quality-driven delivery of projects. The successful audits also confirm the continuous advancement of the company's internal processes.

From commitment to verifiable action

The certifications are a central component of ET GLOBAL's sustainability and quality strategy. They combine responsible business practices with operational excellence and create clear structures for the company's continuous development.
