ITB 2016: Five exciting brand exhibits for our customers in the tourism industry
The world’s leading tourism trade fair ITB Berlin is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Around 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries and regions will be presenting their innovations to industry and public visitors from March 9 to 13. Our customers Lufthansa, ACCOR Hotels, Dorint Hotels & Resorts, nicko cruises and Nuremberg Airport will be there with impressive brand identities.
For its appearance this year, the guiding principle for Lufthansa, which is presented with an eye-catching 50-feet-wide LED screen on the front facade, is “Flying becomes a journey”. Over three levels and 971 square feet, the booth presents the travel experience before, during and after the flight. The concept relies particularly on interactive and digital elements, which invite visitors to discover and be amazed. The absolute highlight is a virtual-reality counter that takes visitors to faraway lands, allowing them to discover travel destinations in a full 360-degree view. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy an on-board experience in various travel classes with virtual reality goggles from the comfort of their original seats.
The brand exhibit for the ACCOR hotel group is presented under the motto “As guests of the earth we welcome the world”. Over an area of 275 square feet, our designers have developed a graphical communication concept surrounding the topics of travel, culture and international encounters. The atmospherically and visually appealing look is rounded off by a lounge landscape and an open meeting zone in the green area.
Our design concept for Dorint Hotels & Resorts reflects the personal, welcoming atmosphere of the German hotel brand. The blue corporate design is combined with soft whites and wood materials. Elegant lounge elements with a subtle lighting concept spanning 223 square feet create a pleasant ambiance for business and professional meetings.
The brand exhibit for river cruise expert nicko cruises, which covers an area of 164 square feet, as well as Nuremberg Airport’s trade fair booth at this year’s ITB, measuring 118 square feet, were both also made by Expotechnik.
