An oversized hand-held blender and 880 light spots

In September, Berlin becomes the capital of entertainment and consumer electronics. From September 2 to 7, 2016, visitors to the exhibition grounds next to the Berlin Radio Tower will be able to find out about various products and developments and discover worldwide innovations. The Expotechnik Group is simultaneously exhibiting four companies at IFA, namely LG, De’Longhi, TP-Link and GfK. Highlights include a light installation with 880 light spots and an oversized hand-held blender.

We set up two pavilions in the outdoor area at IFA for the electronics group LG. Entering through a 26-feet-high gateway, visitors arrive at a meadow, in the middle of which is Gallery 1, which features an impressive light installation with 880 light spots. A walkway leads from Gallery 1 to Gallery 2, which has been built around the first building. Gallery 2 shows exhibits from the LG Signature line, a series of models with a particularly high design appeal. These are presented on furniture made of HI-MACS® material, a mineral material specially developed by LG Hausys, which stands out thanks to its puristic surface. Fifty percent of the “outer shell” of Gallery 1 is made from a metal material which is also used to build refrigerators.

An oversized moving hand-held blender is the real eye-catcher at the De’Longhi Group’s booth. The three brands Kenwood, Braun and De’Longhi are each presented with their own corporate identity in their own individually themed areas. For a more impressive booth look, the products are shown not only in their original size, but also in an over-sized form. The large exhibition invites visitors to test, discover and find out more about the products. Visitors can see the high product quality for themselves and watch top-class testimonials about how to prepare meals with the branded products. A live show at a cooking counter and several bars attract visitors’ attention and enliven the booth with interactive activities.

TP-Link Technologies CO., a Chinese manufacturer of network products for the private sector as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, is also relying on our expertise to design and implement its IFA stand again this year after we previously worked together in 2014. Visitors are met with a modern vibe and a memorable booth design spanning 655 square feet. To reflect the customer’s new corporate identity, we played with rigid and flowing shapes. A frame with a flowing look surrounds the booth, highlighting its brand statement, “Reliably Smart”. The products are staged on floating plinths as presentation surfaces.

GfK SE is Germany’s largest market research institute and, with 13,000 employees worldwide, is also one of the leading international companies in the industry. At IFA, GfK welcomes its visitors to a prestigious exhibition office with a small roof terrace. The peaceful ambiance of the booth offers plenty of space for customer discussions.

The Internationale Funkausstellung (International radio exhibition – IFA) is the world’s leading exhibition for entertainment and consumer electronics and one of the oldest industrial fairs in Germany. It is held every year in the Berlin exhibition halls next to the Berlin Radio Tower. From Sep-tember 2 to 7, 2016, the industry will be coming together for IFA for the 56th time.
